CLEVELAND — After falling to the Warriors in the NBA Finals this past season, the Cavaliers are looking to shore up some of their weak spots this offseason.
The front office is looking to improve team defense and add some youth to the team. This has led them to Carmelo Anthony, according to a source affiliated with a friend of a member of the front office, whom the Cavs are trying to acquire through a trade or signing after buyout.
Anthony has been under much scrutiny in New York, and he is reportedly willing to waive his no-trade clause to go to the Cavs or the Houston Rockets. Some other players the Cavs are said to be targeting for their youth and defensive movement are Pau Gasol, Udonis Haslem and David Lee.
