Jabrill Peppers: “I think we have a great chance to double our wins this year”

BEREA, Ohio — Training camp is in full swing in Berea, as the team prepares for the Orange and Brown Scrimmage and the start of the preseason. Optimism is in the air, and some young Browns players have begun to make predictions.

“I think we have a lot of great young pieces here,” said rookie safety Jabrill Peppers. “I think we have a great chance to double our wins from last year.”

While this is a bold statement from the former Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year, it has some reasoning behind it. The Browns added No. 1 pick Myles Garrett on the defensive line and added Gregg Williams as defensive coordinator. Peppers was adamant that this team will be much improved.

“We have too much talent not to improve,” he said. “Not only can we double our wins, I think we will have a top-25 defense in the entire NFL.”

It will be interesting to see whether the former All-American will be able to back up his bold sentiments on the field.
