Lovers of gigantic scoreboards name Cleveland top destination

CLEVELAND — Fueled by a growing food scene, Cleveland has been gaining traction as a visitor’s destination over the past few months.

This week, this city gained another ringing endorsement: Lovers of gigantic scoreboards have named Cleveland the top destination of 2017.

The group, composed of mostly Daktronics employees, cited both “Humongotron,” Quicken Loans Arena’s giant scoreboard, and FirstEnergy Stadium’s newer video boards. On the FirstEnergy scoreboard, the group noted that the zeros under the Browns’ offensive categories look extra vibrant and really stand out. The Indians’ gigantic scoreboard was also noted for being a bold contrast to the hideous shipping boxes adjacent to it in right field.

While the Cavs may be playing sub-.500 basketball and the Browns are winless on the year, this represents a huge victory for the city of Cleveland and lovers of giant video boards, alike.
