CLEVELAND — Citing an overwhelming amount of interest in their products, the Cleveland Indians announced Wednesday morning that they will be extending their Cyber Monday sale on starting pitchers for the remainder of November.
“We feel strongly that we have some of the best consumer-grade pitchers on the market, and we are excited to see what kind of buzz this sale draws,” said Indians general manager Mike Chernoff.
Reviews for the Tribe’s starting pitchers have been extremely positive over the last few years, with Corey Kluber, Carlos Carrasco, Trevor Bauer and Mike Clevinger all averaging over 4.5 stars on Amazon, though some customers have been discouraged by Kluber’s lack of a warranty for defective autumn performance.
“We love what we currently have but we also know it’s time to clean out our warehouse and move on to newer, cheaper things,” Indians owner Paul Dolan said. “We’re excited to see what kind of innovative, cheaper assets we will have in the near future. It’s all about staying ahead of the pack and getting what will be important and cheaper for our future.”
The Indians also announced that they’ll be reducing the price of all officially licensed fuzzy socks and dog bandanas on their website by 20 percent as part of the sale.
